The Vision

L Marks run innovation programmes for companies such as BMW, Bupa and Lloyd's of London.

As their innovation partner, L Marks is responsible for scouting for exciting startups and providing infrastructure to help nurture these companies.

Their vision for 'The Bridge' was to develop a platform to manage these programmes from start to finish and provide a cutting-edge experience for their corporate partners.

Designing a Powerful Startup Discovery Tool

Our workshops with L Marks’ team made it clear that the most pressing challenge was allowing them to transition away from traditional tools into a database-backed repository that would form the bedrock of The Bridge.

Easy searching, sorting and filtering allows L Marks’ team of scouts to surface relevant startups already in The Bridge and discover new ones when programmes are launched.

By integrating the programme application process, we were able to populate the database automatically saving huge amount of manual entry.

Flexible Performance Reporting & PDF Exports

L Marks create Screening Packs, multi-page reports, for their clients to vet startups. It was a huge pain point – taking up to a week to format over 20 applications using Microsoft Word and the results could be inconsistent.

mmtm built a powerful reviewing and PDF Export feature that turned a week’s worth of manual, low-skilled work into the click of a button.

Live Events Run Directly Through The Bridge

We collaborated with L Marks to build an events app into The Bridge – from managing registration, to live voting and commenting during pitches.

This brought a new level of dynamism to the events. Feedback is collated and analysed in realtime for discussion and review.

We were able to act swiftly with L Marks to integrate live streaming for events into The Bridge during the COVID pandemic so they could continue to run virtual events.
